Began bowling career in 1938. Has lifetime
average over 200, with high of 217 for one season. Has three sanctioned 300 games, two
coming within the space of 28 days. High series is 788. Member of ABC Team All-Events
champions in 1957. Participated in National All-Star Tournament five times, holding 194
average for 132 games. Had average of 194 for 48 games in World Invitational
Championships. Twice member of champion doubles team in State tournament (1949 and 1958).
Member of champion doubles team in City meet in 1959. Was given honorable mention twice on
Mort Luby's BJ All-American team. On All-City team four times (1957-58-59 and 60), and
King in 1957. Won National 700 crown in 1954-55 season with 12 totals over 700, and won
St. Paul 700 Club tournament in 1956 with a 920 series.
