Began bowling in 1958 in a men’s league atMidway Gardens Bowling Lanes. Has been a board member of the Greater St. PaulBowling Association since 1993 and was elected President for 2000-2001. Servedon many committees such as: Historical, Awards, Tournament, Nominating andSeniors. Elected President of the St. Paul Hall of Fame in 1999-2000. ElectedPresident of the St. Paul "700" Club for 1995-97 andSecretary/Treasurer (Pin Buoy) from 2000-2004. Has been the Co-Chairman of theSt. Paul Senior Mixed Tournament from 1996-2004.
Titles include: a 1959 singles title inLeCentre, Minnesota (using a house ball and shoes); a St. Paul City DoublesActual Title in 1972 with Len Kijenski; State Team "A" Division in1978; "700" Club "AA" Title in 1978; 11th Placein Peterson Classic in 1980 and the City Senior Doubles Title in 1996 withDorothy Ceisor. Gold Medal National Senior Olympics Doubles in the 60-64 agegroup with Tom Groh in 2003.
Composite League Average (114 leagues) is192.1; Lifetime ABC National Tournament Average is 190 (28 years); High seriesof 791, High Game of 299 and highest league average of 213. Has averaged over200 in 11 separate years and has bowled over 50 - 700’s in league competition.
