1990
Began his bowling career with the start of
the 1947-48 season in St. Paul at University Lanes. Was elected Secretary-Treasurer of the
Capitol City League in the 1948-49 season. Became a Director of the Greater St. Paul
Bowling Association at the annual Spring meeting in 1959. Relocation of employment found
Loren in Toronto, Canada for the start of the 1960-61 season. In January of 1961 he became
a Director with the Toronto Ten Pin Association and was elected as their Secretary at
their spring meeting. Bowled in four leagues and held various league officer positions in
them. Another relocation assignment place Loren back in St. Paul and in the 1968-69 season
he resumed the job as Secretary-Treasurer for the Capitol City Bowling League. Held this
position until he resigned in the 1985-86 season and still bowls in the league. Also
assumed the responsibilities as Secretary-Treasurer for the Automotive Jobbers League in
the 1968-69 season. Was re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Greater St. Paul
Bowling Association and served as the association President in the 1981-82 season. Served
many years as the Secretary-Treasurer of the St. Paul Hall of Fame Committee and has
served with this committee for the past 20 years.
