A bowler for 36 years with a lifetime average of 199+. Career halted in 1972 due to arthritis in his arm. Won Men's City singles title in 1967-68 with 684 and won Men's City All Events in 1957-58 with 1911 actual. Bob won State All Events in 1960-61 with 1909 total and was member of Schmidt's Beer team that finished third in ABC the same year. Was named to All City team in 1960-61 and led St. Paul All Star league with 207 average. Finished fifth with Rod Adolph in 1963 Doubles, hitting 683 total. Competed in 22 Tribune Classic meets and had 14 totals over 800. Has one sanctioned 300 game and high series of 783. Competed in 20 ABC meets with composite average of 189. Was member of four Men's City tournament championship teams; Minea Amana (1956-57), Coleman Coal (1959-60), Grain Belt (1961-62) and Schmidt's Beer. Won St. Paul 700 Club tournament three times -1962, 1963 and 1967. Original member of St. Paul All Star league for 21 years until retirement in 1972. Competed in 20 Petersen Classics, cashing in half of them. Was in partnership of local bowling establishment (All Star Bowl) until it was sold.
