Winner of the first Minneapolis Aquatennial
Singles tournament. A league bowler for 35 years he was a member of 7-Up Bottling team
which won City title in 1960. Captured singles titles at White Bear in 1947: Lacrosse, WI
in 1955: and Kenyon in 1957. Teamed with the late Boots Krenn for doubles titles at
Owatonna in 1948; and Spirit Lake, IA in 1958. Won Scratch all-events in Tri-State in
Rochester in 1959. Bowled a sanctioned 300 game in December, 1958, and has rolled two 299
games. Rolled a 299 in Men's City league on Tuesday night at Harkins Palace, and the
following night rolled a 300 in the All Star league at Stahl House. Carried a 200+ average
at various times in four major leagues in St. Paul and has 47 series over 700. Selected to
All-City team in 1958-59. A member of the St. Paul All Star team which competed against
selected Minneapolis bowlers in the late 1940's and early 1950's.
