Has been bowling for 46 years, having first
bowled in Redwood Falls, MN in 1936. Has often served as league secretary or officer. For
three years was secretary of 16 team straightaway league, the largest in our Association,
at Brighton Bowl. Has been a member of the Greater St. Paul Bowling Association Board of
Directors since 1952. During this time he has served on various and numerous committees.
He is a past president and life member of our Association, having served as president
during 1964-65 when the ABC tournament was last hosted by St. Paul. For the benefit and
enjoyment of future generations of bowling enthusiasts, was instrumental in the
researching and binding of back issues of the Bowling Magazine and now this is available
in the City Association office. Since inception of the Hall of Fame, has been continuously
involved and responsible for the facility and display of the pictures in the St. Paul
Auditorium foyer. His best performance during City association competition include 1307
doubles and 1911 All-Events. Is a member of the St. Paul Chapter of the 700 Club. Has a
lifetime high series of 742, high single game of 299, and high average of 195.
