Member of the Greater St. Paul Men's Bowling
Association for 22 years and served as President during the 1976-77 season. Coached the
St. Paul Junior Traveling League in its' infancy and was St. Paul Junior Association
Secretary from 1967 to 1975. Has served as Director on the Minnesota State Men's Bowling
Association since 1971 and also served as its' Secretary. Was Minnesota State Junior Boys'
Secretary from 1970 to 1980. Member of the Minnesota State Bowling Council since 1971 and
past King Pin (President) of the St. Paul 700 Club. During bowling career rolled many
700-or-more series including back-to-back 700s in 1969. Has participated in twenty ABC
Tournaments. Retired from the 3M Company after 25 years, where he was instrumental in
promoting the game of bowling. Member of the American Legion and Eagles #33, and competes
yearly in their State Tournaments. Began bowling in 1934 in the Ancient Order of United
Workman's League. Averaged 185 to 190 in his early years of bowling.
