Became manager of Pfister Lanes in 1938,
then served in that capacity at Fleischmann & Muggley's (now Lorence Rec.), Hammond's
Lanes (formerly Bilbows) and Oxford Lanes. Built Rice Bowl (now the Saxon Lanes) in 1960
and assisted in starting up new houses in Minnetonka, Lindstrom, Chisago Lakes and
Rosemount. Is past President and former secretary of St. Paul BPA, and also past president
of Minnesota State BPA. Captain-Sponsor Dinner was inaugurated during his reign as St.
Paul BPA President. Served 9 years on the National Executive Committee of the BPAA and was
a member of the Bowlerama (TV) Committee for 10 years. Is owner of bowling equipment
retail store, and has sponsored teams for more than 30 years. In prime, average in 190
bracket, with high average of 194. Has high game of 289 and high series of 689.
