Has been a member of the St. Paul Women's
Bowling Association for over 30 years, participating in 28 state tournaments. Was state
All Events champion in 1964 and 1968. Won the State 600 Tournament four times. Was on a
team that placed third in the WIBC Championship Tournament in Tulsa and won the Singles
and All Events in that tournament in Minneapolis. Led the WIBC Top Twenty Year Average
list for many years. Was on a local championship team and has won the All Events in the
local tournament twice. Has captured the 600 Club Championship three times. Had the high
game in the St. Paul Association three times and the high series five times. Had High
average in the city nine times and was on the All City team six times, reigning as Queen
three times. Competed in the FIQ Tournament in Winnipeg and the five woman team won gold
medals and the three woman team won bronze medals. Originated the Great Lakes Invitational
Tournament known as GLIT in the late 1960's. Was a member of the Professional Women's
Bowling Association and won titles in Indianapolis, Kansas City and Fort Smith. Has six
700's to her credit, has a high game of 299 and high series of 736. Has maintained an
average of 185 or better for at least twenty-five years with a high average of 196. Was
elected to the WIBC Hall of Fame in 1987. Is also a member of the Minnesota Sports Hall of
Fame having the distinction of being the only bowler in this society which is displayed at
the H.H. Humphrey Dome. Was inducted into the Minnesota State Women's Hall of Fame in
1991.
