Started bowling in "classic"
and/or "straight-away" leagues in 1970 at Drkula's 32 and has since bowled in
many St. Paul and Minneapolis leagues. Topped the two consecutive year ABC Tournament
average list for the years 1987 thru 1988. Member of 1988 scratch and handicap Minnesota
"State" Tournament Team champions. Was the scratch All Events champion in the
1994 Minnesota "State" Tournament. Was the All-Events champion in Alexandria's
"Garden Center" Tournament, was a Doubles champion twice and member of the Team
champions twice in St. Cloud's "Cold Spring Kegle" Tournament. Was a member of
the Fargo championship Team in 1988. Was a Doubles champion twice and member of the Team
champions twice in the "Minnehaha Open" Tournament. Won the 1982 and 1989 St.
Paul Master's titles. Won three St. Paul City Team titles and won the St. Paul
"City's" Jerry Noonan Memorial Award in 1992. In 1992, won the St. Paul
"City" scratch and handicap All-Events titles and the St. Paul "City"
scratch and handicap Singles titles. In 1985, won the Minneapolis City Scratch and
Handicap Doubles titles and, in 1992, was a member of the Minneapolis City Championship
Team. Won seven CBA titles and was a member of three CBA All-Star teams, a member of one
CBA All-Star second team, and was the CBA's 1981-82 "Bowler Of The Year". Was a
member of St. Paul's All-City team five times, an "Honorable Mention" member of
St. Paul's All-City team four times and "King" of St. Paul bowlers four times.
Has rolled ten 300's, one 299, two 298's, over 300 700-or-more series, five 800-or-more
series, and his high final season average to date is 233.
